Updates, Updates

Spring has sprung!!! Cold temperature is out and warm, hot weather is here. We are experiencing highs of 80's for the whole week and boy it feels like summer, stingingly hot. I can't imagine how hot it gets when its actually summer time. For you who are on spring break this time just keep cool and hydrated. Avoid basking too much under the heat of the sun.

School Update

Anyways, I am too on spring break from school. I had my finals on the 19th and got my grade for Anatomy and Physiology 2. So happy i have an A again. For my Business 101 class I have to take it again this coming spring quarter since I dropped it. I really didn't want to but it was not the right class for me to take for my program. My adviser messed me up for that one. He didn't have a clue when he register it for me that it wasn't the right one. This time I asked the Chairman for my program and he gave me the right one. I registered for a hybrid class that means I will not totally go to the campus all the time but we will also have classes online. The next quarter starts on April 2nd and ends on June 1st. Am praying everything will be alright after I gave birth.

Pregnancy Update

Speaking of giving birth, I am now on my 31st week of pregnancy. I am just so glad that all the tests that I went through are all normal. The only thing I am concerned with is I'm slightly anemic but I have iron supplement and the last prenatal, on my 28th week, my provider told me that I'm on the right track. I was told to record fetal movements as well. Making sure that there will be 10 movements in a period of 2 hours. On my record, I start at 9:30PM and within 10min our baby moves more than 10 times already. But I observed too that when i start counting passed 10PM usually 10 movements will reach up to 30min to an hour. The pattern of our baby's movement is, she's active from 6PM to 10PM and also during dawn.

Beginning of the 6th month of my pregnancy I started feeling Braxton-Hicks contractions. I felt tightening in my uterus. And now that I'm on my 31st week feels like I frequently feel it. And I was told many times by friends and family that seems like I will have our baby early. Even myself can feel that my baby is getting her ready position :-) Seemed like she's lowering down and feel lighter. Hope and praying we can have her in due time and healthy.

Yesterday we attended a cousin's wedding and we drove more than 5 hours one way and made 2 stops for me to stretch and go potty :-) It's unavoidable. But I swear going a long drive while your preggy is not fun at all. You feel all the discomfort there is. As much as possible I will not do it again.

Baby's Room Update

For our little girl's nursery, we're more than half way done. We didn't paint the room coz I don't want to go into the trouble of repainting it again once we move out of here. We had spring cleaning already 3 weeks ago and hubby steam cleaned the carpet all over the apartment's rooms. The furnitures, closet and organizing shelves are all set up since last month. Thanks to my hubby's excitement. He just couldn't wait. Even the swing and bassinet were put together already.

Our Baby's Gender?

http://www.sparklee.com - glitter text

Yes we are expecting a baby girl. My husband told me as soon as we knew that we are pregnant that it's gonna be a girl. Father's intuition, huh! Well I refute him by saying it's gonna be a boy. And then everytime he touches my tummy he'll say "how's my baby girl". I always tell him he's assuming. He challenged me to play a bet just for fun. If I accepted it I surely lost.

Then when my belly is showing a lot of my friends are telling me it's a girl. One time we went to dine at Golden Coral. The manager on duty was a Filipina. I've known her as Ate E. When I told her I am pregnant she asked to see my neck and then she told me without a doubt, "Oy you will have a baby girl". Then hubby said I told you. For me no matter what's the gender as long as the baby is healthy.

I had an ultrasound (US) on December 21 for the baby's anatomical dating but the sex isn't clear yet. I was on my 16th week of pregnancy then. I was scheduled again on January 18th for an US. I took a 2 hour break from work to go to the hospital. I went there by myself since hubby was busy. I was hoping he can be there with me but he can't get off in the middle of a military class. So I was the only one dealing the excitement of knowing our baby's gender.

When I was called in to the ultrasound room, the technician told me the procedure and then the anxious me asked her if I can know what my baby's sex. She said she'll try her best. Then after she took pictures of the anatomy of the baby she told me that it's a girl. As she pointed out the area I didn't see anything also that dangles in between my baby's legs :-) So it's a Girl!

After the procedure, I waited a couple of minutes for the US pictures which unfortunately on a 2D only. That's what you get in a military hospital I guess :-) But I am glad eveything is fine and the greatest part of it is we already know what we're expecting. I called my hubby as soon as I got off the hospital and he said over and over "I told you so!" :-)

We already have a name for the baby. We agreed for 2 names. I picked the first and he picked the second. He also wants to incorporate my full maiden name which gives our baby having 2 middle names. But we still have to try to shorten it so the baby will not have a hard time writing long names.

Back to School

We are going back to school again. Yes, me and hubby are in school. My husband has been in school eversince I got here though he took online classes only due to his job in the military. But right now we are both enrolled in our community college. And also he's in a month and a half military school program, Advance Non-Commission Officers Course (ANCOC) starting today. That means he will be in a classroom for approximately 16 hours every MTWTh except Fridays. That's too much lecture there, huh!

For myself I have 2 classes to attend to every Mondays and Wednesdays and am pregnant. But I believe I can handle it well. Our college classes will end on March 21 so that is 2 months shy of my due date. Then for spring quarter I will just enroll in an online classes so I will just stay at home. I will juggle home, work and school which I know would be meeting stress along the way but I am preparing myself for that.

Last fall quarter I started attending school here and so far everything work out well. My program right now is Medical Coding and hopefully I will be able to finish it this first summer quarter. But all my subjects/courses gears towards the Nursing program. I took Medical Terminology and Anatomy & Physiology 1 last quarter which I got both A's (score!). My husband is so proud of me.

Now I am taking Business 101 and Anatomy & Physiology 2. Bus 101 I joked hubby that it is Business 101 for dummies :-). My Ana and Phys is a continuation. They split it in two since it covers a whole lot of subjects and in no way it can be finished for just 3 months. I am praying and try my very best to do well this quarter.
