At last I already brought our DD to the Dentist. Her schedule was this morning. We have been planning to have her checked since she was 12 months old because almost all of her teeth by then were already out. As we all know that once our kids teeth comes out we have to have them check by the dentist.
Another concern why we wanted her to be checked is that some of her teeth, especially the upper and lower incisors are showing some black stain. I was praying she don't have cavity because I've been diligent in cleaning her teeth ever since the first tooth came out.
So, this morning we went to the Dentist. I sat down on the dental chair and put her on my lap while Dr. O checked her teeth. She was so behave and was engrossed watching Wiggles on the flat screen monitor above us. At 20 months I thought we will have a hard time letting her open her mouth but thankfully she cooperated and didn't cry at all. I was so proud of her.
Dr. O said she have a lot of stain in her teeth not only at the front but also at the back. It is very hard too because it will not come off using the probe. She decided to have it polished to remove the stain. I was hesitant coz I am not sure if she is that patient but I decided to have removed. When our DD saw that the assistant was preparing what is needed she started to complain. But when Dr. O started to polish her teeth and the assistant spray and drain the water she stopped fidgeting. I guess she liked the feel of the electric polisher on her teeth. She really did great coz she opened her mouth and we thought we have to come back at another time to clean the back part but Dr. O removed 99% of the stain. She also praised our DD for behaving so well. She told me that she have good teeth and no signs of cavity. I am so thankful that it's only stain and nothing serious.
I really don't know what causes the stain in her teeth but Dr. O said if she is drinking juice, iced tea or eat food that can stain the teeth. She is drinking apple, berry, grape juices and also taking vitamins so it may be the cause of stain in her teeth. I am just glad and happy that now our DD have her pearly white teeth again.

That is great she did so well. I should start cleaning my son's teeth now that he has 6. . .I don't want him to have any dental problems either!
My son's dentist keeps warning me about too much juice. He also tells me never to let my son sleep drinking a bottle. Hope this helps.
Yay!!! Great job Shiloh!! She must be a very patient little one....
Have a wonderful weekend Bless...
