Christmas is fast approaching. It is time to give gifts and also receive presents :-) My sister said that it's okay if she will receive some blings from us. Anniversary Gift
On our third wedding anniversary, December 18, 2007, hubby surprised me. He woke up early and went out telling me he is going to check my car why it wasn't cranking up. Me and baby Shiloh was still in bed. I was wondering after an hour he wasn't back yet so I called him up. He said he's going to an auto shop to have the car check. Then I went back to sleep. When he came home I was surprised he brought a dozen red roses, and bought breakfast to go from Ihop. It was so sweet of him to do it. I had breakfast in bed and while we ate he handed me two small boxes and when I open the boxes it was my gemstone jewelry, a gold necklace with matching ring with emerald stone. It was a very sweet anniversary celebration we had that I can't forget. I am so thankful to have a great husband.
Watches
I can't remember when was the last time I wore a watch. I believe when I was still working in the nursing home more than a year ago. I have to wear one that has second hand because I need it to check patient's vitals. Hubby bought me 2 watches eversince I got here and my bestfriend gave me a nice watch when I visited her in Wales. Just recently I told hubby that I saw Skagen watches online and they have good deals. I have been wanting to own one of their watches. I find it so pretty and elegant like the rose gold plated one. He said if he'll get me one I will not wear it anyway :-) I have to convince him more with that kind of reply, eh. I know he'll give in.
Vow Renewal
Hubby and I got married here in the US sans my family, not even one. My relatives from CA were not able to attend because our marriage took place in South Carolina eight days after I got here in the US. Only his relatives were able to witness our wedding. So we plan to renew our vow when we get to Philippines. He asked me to look for wedding bands that we are going to choose to replace the bands that we have right now. The new ring will hopefully start a tradition that we can pass on to our next generation. As to the renewal, it is for thanksgiving that we found each other as well as for my family in Philippines can witness our union and to continue a family tradition that my parents are present for all their children's weddings.
