The first time I let our daughter played at McDonald's she was very apprehensive to climb up the lower slides. My friend's daughter helped her out in climbing as well as in sliding. The second time we went back there she was beginning to follow other kids but she still maintain precaution every time she go up. After her every slide she will run to me and smile then she'll say, "fun Mommy".
Yesterday, after my dear friend C helped me out with steam cleaning our carpeted floor, I treated the kids to MD. After they had their happy meal they went ahead to the play area. Our DD was very excited that even when we were still at Safeway to return the Rug Doctor she was already telling me she wanted to play slide at MD. So when we were there already she was having a time of her life.
Before, I easily get worried when I let her play by herself but I need to let her explore and enjoy herself so she can learn. Good thing with her is that if she thinks she will get hurt she won't go for it and instead ask help. I always remind her to be careful so she will not get hurt nor hurt other kids. I am glad she is learning and not rowdy when outside playing. If it's not really cold here I will bring her to the park but it's just impossible that is why I am glad there are indoor play area around that the kids can enjoy during winter time.

Mommy and Daughter on the Slide
Two weekends ago, we brought our daughter to the park. It's a big park but mostly you can see are slides for little ones and older ones. This park is situated near a lake and there's a big grassy area if you want to lay your blanket and soak under the sun.
Since our DD is still tiny to hop on the slides, I told hubby we can slide together. The slide I chose was high and straight one. I was afraid to do it at first coz it's really high. So we went on. Our DD was wriggling on my lap I had a hard time settling her. Both my hands were holding her that I forgot to hold on to the sides of the slide. We zoomed down the slide and before I knew it we both flew off to the ground. Good thing, hubby was standing right below blocking the concrete retainer wall. If he wasn't there it would be a disaster.
I was shaken but laughing at that experience. It does show that it's been ages I had played in the park that sliding is kinda hard to do :-) Hubby teased me afterward. He said we were like rockets that just zoomed down from the skies :-) Lesson learned, I need to have more practice playing slides and use the curvy slides next time lolz

The first time our DD climbed up the stairs by herself was during our visit at the Children's Museum. When we visited the Pacific Science Center on Saturday we brought her to the toddler play area. She went right away to the slides. At first I held her while she climbed up the stairs coz I was afraid she'll fall but she wanted me to let go of her so I did. She got used to it and before I know it she was climbing up and slided by herself. It was a joy looking at her so happy and enjoying the slides. Her Daddy was the one taking the pictures while I was standing near the stairs to catch her in case she falls but glad she didn't :-)
Playing Ball
Shiloh's Playtime Picture #16
She loves to play with bouncing balls. I bought her small and big one. Before she can't hold the big one and everytime she got hold of it she will put it in her mouth. Now she love chasing it, passing it to me and even bouncing it just like the picture above.
We disassembled her exersaucer and made it into this playing S table. Now she can cruise around it. I put it against the back of the couch because it is not as sturdy as I thought to be. One time she was pulling herself up and holding the end and it broke off from where it was connected. She fell and landed her face on top of the other end that broke off. She had a little bruise on her face. The table is an S shape. The other side she don't have a way out but she figure out another way by crawling underneath it. She is now learning and can solve small problem by herself.

Shiloh's Playtime Picture #15
She was concentrating on her book flipping the pages watching her book in her little corner. Her toys are scattered all over. I took the picture without calling her because for sure she will be distracted. She will crawl towards me and will forget her books. I put all her baby board books in a bin and everytime she likes to look at it she will dig it out herself.

Daddy and Me Bonding Time
This is what my husband told me that he misses, on the floor playing with her daughter. This was taken on the night when he got home. I let her be with her Dad so she will be used to be with him. They are having fun playing and she gives out a heart laugh when Daddy tickles her. I thought she will cry if I leave her with him but thankfully not. She is still Daddy's little girl.

Shiloh's Playtime Picture #14
She likes dragging her stuffed toy down from the table. This talking puppy is her favorite because it make a sound when she touches its body parts. The fact that it responds to her when she's playing it makes her more interested in the toy. Sometimes when she gets too excited she will shake it and giggles.
I put the hat on her and was trying to take a picture of her. I did many takes before I was able to successfully took one. It's either she will crawl fast towards me everytime she sees me holding the camera or take the hat off. She was literally laughing when I took this one. Her laugh is contagious.

This was taken in April. She loves playing with Barney and Puppy. I bought her the toy song book. It's plastic so even if she bite it all the time nothing will happen to it. She like to play a lot now but her attention to a certain toy is not long. She easily gets bored. So I give her different toys and then keep others that she don't like playing. She messes up her toys all over the floor and I am behind her picking her things up.

Everytime I put her stuffed toy on the table she will take them down right away and then hugged the toys.

Shiloh's Playtime Picture #11
This was taken one night last week. I was about to put her to bed but she refused too. So I put her down and there she pulled out her toys from the bin as well as the stuffed toy on the table. Everything is grabbed down and let Mommy do the tidying later on.

I was trying to block the alley with her walker but she is able to push the walker and pass at the sides. I am always following her around because I can't afford for her to fall again. I know I should not be over protective but I can't help it. My heart skips a mile when she stands up and fall butt first.
Look at the hair :-) It's all over the place hehehe. She has a soft big curls but very thin hair. She was caught off guard when I called her to take the picture. She was about to stand up holding on to her exersaucer. She prefers to be outside now rather than put inside it.

Shiloh's Playtime Picture #7
Shiloh's Pediatrician told me that I have to introduce more developmental exercise to her since she is now in a stage that they can respond and able to follow what you are going to tell them. Stimulating their motor skills and language skills is very important in their development. I know that all mothers wants their children to develop normally and we will do everything for them to have a good, normal childhood. So I bought her toys that will let encourage to learn and explore more. She seemed like interested to play the piano since I can notice her tapping the keys and flipping to the plastic song notes. Everytime she is on the floor she would always go first to her baby grand piano toy before she touches her other toys.

Baby Gone Wild
Everyday when I am doing my chores I put her in her plypen. I put some toys on the sides like rattles, teether and those big enough not to choke her. She just pulled everything she can grasp. She even pulled the mirror that it loosen the ties and came off. Here's some pics below.

She likes to put everything to her mouth

She grabbed everything she can grasp. The mirror was untied when she pulled it.
She's bored and about to cry
All pics were taken during night time before she goes to sleep.
