Our DD1 loves the color purple. When we moved here in our house, she already told us she wanted to paint her room purple and pink. So, she is really the girly-girly type. Every time we visit home stores and check out the paint department, she will get color sample of the purple and pink combination. We decided that we will paint her bedroom purple and pink.
As their Mom, I also noticed through the years as being the Mom that, I too, love purple :-) I think she got it from me then. I don't know but I am attracted to it, especially if I am buying clothes for my little girls. The picture above is one of the evidences that we love the color dearly.
With my daughter's love for the color purple, even doing her art work at school she always use the purple crayon or paint. When they were asked to color the pumpkin, she color it purple instead of orange. I asked her why, she answered, "Because I like purple, Mommy"!

Our Growing Girls
Our DD1 had a school photo session earlier last month. I was told that we can have our DD2 join the photo shoot also with her sister or by herself, so I let her wear her nice dress, courtesy of Tita Coleen, and brought her with me to her sister's school. They both look nice in their dresses. The photo shoot went well. It took a little longer because DD2 won't look at the photographer. She is distracted by people and things around her.
When we got home I tried to take pictures but I have to bribe her with a lollipop to pose for me. Looking at them together just melt my heart. They grow up fast and such sweet and adorable little girls. I can't thank God enough for the two of them in our lives. I can't imagine living without them. They are my priceless treasures!
Our Two Munchkins
I needed to take picture of our two little munchkins near our Christmas tree. I tried taking pictures of them two weeks ago when we put up our tree but the little one was crying. I can't get a good shot of her. I don't have any problem with the eldest because she like to pose.
This picture was taken after church but as you can see tiny one is crying. She was so sleepy that is why. I really need to get good shots of them. I only need right timing to do the picture taking.

Purple in Fall
I love the fall colors, especially when the leaves changes colors. It just look so immaculate that you can't help but appreciate. Our DD1 maybe inherited her liking fall from me. Every time we go out and see the leaves she is so vocal in her appreciation.
One time when we got home from church she saw the short tree in front of our unit and she exclaimed to me, "Mommy picture, beautiful leaf", while picking the leaf on the ground. As always I am bringing my camera with me I was able to fulfill her wishes.
I just thought she look lovely in her purple tutu dress with a red colored tree in the background :-) Love my own! :-)

Our Easter Sunday Celebration
Anyways, the picture above was taken while on our way to church yesterday. It wasn't raining although was a gloomy day so she was able to walk to the carport and not in her stroller. She likes it when she can choose to walk.

Signature Pose
Our DD has developed her own signature pose every time I take picture of her. I don't have any idea why she will immediately pose like it when I asked her to pose. But I noticed it started during our Christmas party when her Tita R taught her how to pose when her picture was taken. She love it when her picture is taken and it amazes me how she do her posing :-) She's very funny and I just love her very much.
I am hoping she will pose better next time :-) or maybe not bend too much like she's twisting her little body showing off her back :-)
Loving the Blings
Our little toddler loves to wear blings; earrings, bracelet, necklace, and whatever Mommy wears she wants it too. My friend K gave her a set of blings for little girl during the birthday party of our friend's daughter. She wore it right away. She said to me, "I like it Mommy". Once she's wearing something she will just behave at my side as if afraid she will lost it.
I took the picture after my friend put it on her. She did not move at all. Every few seconds she will check her ears if the earrings are still there and then smile at me. When she decided to play with the other kids she took it off and gave it to me.
I now believe that I have a fashionista daughter :-) I hope it will not be her hobby or "vice" when she grow up, buying purses, shoes, jewelries and the likes or else we will have holes in our pockets :-)
The Little Fashionista
As our daughter is growing up, she also like to dress up and even love to wear blings. I bought her plastic necklaces and bracelets that she can wear while she's playing pretend at home but she refused to wear it at times. She still like to wear mines. When we go out she will ask to bring my small purse. I now gave it to her. The small pocketbook was the one she's bringing with her in the picture.
My friend said she looked like a star followed by paparazzi in this picture. She is just like that. She acts like a little diva. I find it very funny when she's acting like a small lady. She hold her purse and walk like a fashionista :-)
Christmas Pose
Our little girl is loving the camera nowadays. When we had our get together on Christmas eve, my friend took a photo of her. She coached her to pose and the picture on the side is what came out.
She likes to wear bling too. When we go out she always ask for her purse and head band. If I will not give it to her then we can't get out of the house. She's now 31 months and she's learning a lot. She is also a copy cat. Whatever I do especially when we are at the bathroom she will copy me.
She is funny little girl and I am enjoying her more each day. She can be a handful but she is very sweet and affectionate. She like to help and always say 'love you Mommy'. It just melt your heart when she says the words.

Dancing Diva
Time really fly so fast. Our then tiny baby is now a toddler and is starting to show her interest even at such a young age. When we have occasion to celebrate here we noticed that our DD love to dance. Then my friends, whose kids are 5 years old, told me that the dance school their kids go to have a program for toddlers. So in October I enrolled our DD to that program. The program runs only for six Saturdays so I let her tried it. She completed the first six weeks already and she is supposed to go back last Saturday. Unfortunately both of us here got sick so I decided to enroll her back again after six weeks.
She liked going to the class but one thing she is scared of doing is the somersault. She will start to position herself but when you urged her to finish the act she will just go stiff. I think she is scared of hurting herself :-) The instructor said that in time she will overcome it and do the somersault. I asked her why she won't do it and she said "hurt head" :-) Maybe when she's already three she will do it on her own accord.
Aside from dancing, she is also into music. When we had the party on Nov. 7 she was also joining us dancing and singing. Even though she can't pronounce the lyrics she also sung to her hearts content. She even copied my friends dancing that they called her their star dancer :-) She is not shy at all. I hope she will still continue to show interest in dancing and singing. Right now her favorite song to sing is My Bukas Pa and the new ABS-CBN Christmas station ID song. She love hearing it over and over through youtube.

Summer Pictures
The above pictures were taken in summer. I am not a professional photographer and I'm only using a regular digital camera so pardon the captures :-) I will also do my best to post recent pictures of our DD more often coz my family back home are asking me for it.
Missing Her Daddy
It has been a month since our Daddy left for his third tour overseas and our DD is missing him everyday. Almost every night she is looking for him. There were nights that she woke up crying and asking for Daddy. It is heartbreaking seeing her cry so I just keep telling her that Daddy is at work and we will see him soon.
When hubby thought of using the military program United Through Reading, wherein deployed soldiers can make a video of themselves while reading a story, he took advantage of it. While they were in Kuwait he was able to made three videos of himself reading a story for our tiny one. Now that we have the videos when she misses her Dad she will request to watch the videos. I also made sure that she watches it before we go to sleep.
Now, when she asked for Daddy and I tell her he will not be here soon enough, she will just asked to watch the video instead. Last week she wasn't feeling well and she woke up around 2:30am. She kept telling me to watch daddy so I stood up and turn the DVD on. We both watched one video of hubby three times before she went back to sleep. I am thankful that Daddy did it because it helps our DD in dealing with Daddy's absence.
Trying to be Independent
Our DD is now 28 months and she is a handful. She now tries to be independent in whatever she like to do. When we go places, she don't like to be in her stroller but want to walk. She won't hold my hands or her Dad's because she want to walk by herself and fast. It's very funny because her Daddy will introduce her as 'our 2 year old going on 17' :-)
When dressing up, she will tell me she want nice and like to pick out her own clothes. She will let out a big NO if she don't like what I pick for her. Sometimes I like it when she acts independently especially when eating and playing but when she become stubborn it's not good anymore. I know we will just be there to support her so she will know what she is allowed to do by herself and what's not.
Lately, because we have new friends around here, she also gain friends. What I noticed when they're playing is that she really know how to share and don't get offended or will not cry if other kids took her toys. When I say share or borrow she oblige. I am hoping that trait will not change. She don't fight with other kids too. She love having them around. I guess she expects that everyday she will see them that is why every morning she will ask about her 'ate and AJ' (her new friends). When afternoon came and she still don't see them she will drag me to the door and point outside to go to our friends apartment unit. I can see now a "laagan" in the making :-)
Our Sweet Baby
Now that our little girl is growing up I can see that she is also getting very sweet. When she thinks I am mad at her she will throw me a hug and kisses. I think it's very sweet of her to do it. Sometimes when she won't listen to me I make a fake cry and if she sensed that I am upset she will give me a hug :-) It really brought a smile to my face when she fall into my trap :-) I am not using this trick all the time though coz I know she may sensed too that I am only making it up and she will not fall for it anymore. I am just glad that we don't have an episode yet of yelling and uncontrolled tantrum. She is still very easy to calm down and hopefully it will always be like this.
Choo-Choo Train
The pictures above were taken outside the Supermall in Auburn, Wa. We went there two weekends ago. When we walked outside our DD saw the train display on the side. She then said choo-choo with matching hand action :-) I took a snap shot of her while she was busy running around. It's a joy to know that she can now identify some of the things that she saw in her books. She easily get amazed by things around her.

A Beautiful Day
We were blessed with warm days last week, hence we were able to play outside. The push cart can still be used for her but I have a hard time pushing it because she will drag her feet on the ground. I only used it when I get our mails from the mailbox and I'm in a hurry. She love pushing it now instead of riding on it :-) If we are outside and she wanted to push the cart, I let her be but only on the grass in case she fall. I am hoping tomorrow will be another warm day so we will go out and play again.
Easter Picture
I know Easter had passed already but because of laziness I just applauded our DD's picture on that day. Actually we did not go out. I just changed her and took picture inside the apartment. It was raining and I don't like to go out in pouring rain. I did not buy her an Easter basket because nobody will eat the treats inside it. The Easter bunny basket that she's playing is the same basket she had from last year. She likes playing it because it will great you "Happy Easter" as you press the button.

Can't get a Good Shot
I read In-in's post about not able to get a good picture of her little boy because he's making faces or do something silly. That is what I also get when I take picture of our DD. She is acting silly, making faces and even run away from me. The pictures above I took last week while she was walking from our bedroom after getting dressed for day out. Before I click the camera she was already on the floor and trying to take off her shoes. When I called her to look at me she either had her eyes wide open or give me her version of pout lips :-) I took a lot of shots but everything is something :-) Hopefully this stage will pass and she will love the camera again :-)
